Karica first started working at Brainerd Baptist School in January of 2007 with the After School Care program. In her time at Brainerd, she has also worked as a substitute, teacher's assistant, and in BBS Summer Camp, before moving into the classroom as a teacher. Karica has a heart for nurturing young minds and she loves teaching early childhood. She is passionate about helping students foster a love for learning through songs, books, and fun hands-on activities, as well as sharing her love for nature and the outdoors.

Outside the classroom, Karica loves coffee, reading, camping, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog Maximus.
