K5 Overview

January 31 - February 6

MEMORY VERSE: Goodness - Romans 12:9 “Love must be sincere, hate what is evil, cling to what is good.” 

UNIT: Celebration of Differences

LANGUAGE ARTS: We will be working on Letter Vv. We will focus on the following skills: blending skills with v, introducing name, sound, and formation of Vv.

FOUNDATIONS AND FRAMEWORKS: Plot + Predicting and Justifying 

MATH: We will be learning about 3 dimensional shapes and estimating. We will be counting to 100 by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

• Valentine’s are due on Monday, February 9th.

• We will go outside for recess and fresh air Friday unless it is raining or below 32 degrees. Please dress your child appropriately and have them wear heavy coats, gloves, hats, etc.

• Don’t forget to bring a snack and water bottle everyday.
