English- In ELA, we have started our verb unit. In Writing, we are working in the genres of opinion, informational text, and personal narrative.
Science/Social Studies- We will continue our unit on the Human Body as well as working on student country slide shows. I would like to have students present their slide shows on Friday, January 23. They will have ample time in class to complete this. I would love it if they show you their presentation in order to help check for grammatical mistakes and listen to their presentations. I realize this is the first time they have done an assignment like this, and I will grade accordingly! I’m excited to see what they put together.
Math- We will begin Unit 4 covering place value, subtraction, conversions, and measurement. Homework will go home Tuesday and is due Friday.
Bible- Moses and the Israelites are now free in the wilderness. We will be covering God giving the Ten Commandments and the important moments that happened on their journey to the Promised Land. This will take several class sessions.
STEM- Bodies Exhibit: This project will take about 6 weeks to complete. We will work alongside Mrs. Gruner’s science lessons on body systems to complete a full sized body (on paper) with organs, bones, and muscles.
